Wis. women accused of receiving opium in the mail MANITOWOC, Wis. -- Two women accused of receiving opium through the mail have been charged in Manitowoc County. Wyo. boy, 11, leads police on chase up to 100 mph RIVERTON, Wyo. -- Police said an 11-year-old boy led law enforcement on a high speed chase reaching up to 100 miles per hour. The chase started about 3 a.m. Wednesday at Riverton in central Wyoming and ended about 50 miles away near Crowheart on the Wind River Reservation after police managed to corner the car. The driver then tried to flee on foot, but officers managed to catch him - only to find the suspect was a child. Link

School tells all parents their children are absent MARTIN, Tenn. -- A student absence phone call that went to every family of students at a West Tennessee middle school caused an uproar. The automated call is set to go out at 9 a.m. each day from Martin Middle School, but only to families whose children have been marked absent that day. Police: Woman finds US Capitol officer in her bed ARLINGTON, Va. -- Arlington police say a U.S. Capitol Police officer was arrested when a woman came home to find the stranger passed out drunk in her bed. Police said the 34-year-old man was still sleeping when officers arrived at 1 a.m. Sunday. Spokeswoman Crystal Nosal said the officer was charged with unlawful entry. Link

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks game warden Kevin Cook says the buck got mixed up with a string of Christmas lights and now they are hanging from his antlers and body.
